“Orphan” producer Michael Ireland talked about being an assistant on the set of Bulletproof Monk back in 2002 and shares a story about hanging out with Seann during filming.

‘What happened after attending USC was a series of jobs, beginning with working as a development assistant for Warren Beatty and as an assistant on the set of ”Bulletproof Monk,” from which Michael shared a story he rates among the ”least dorky and least embarrassing” of his encounters in the industry.’

One of the stars was Seann William Scott (from the ”American Pie” series) and he and I are about the same age, up in Toronto for a four-month shooting, so we hung out a lot – playing video games, watching sports, going out to bars,” he said. ”Some of the Toronto Raptors also lived in the hotel we happened to be staying at … and everyone obviously recognized Seann, and because I was hanging out with him, they thought I was an actor too. One guy said, ‘Hey man, I loved you in Blade,’ thinking I was Stephen Dorff.”

Michael said he and Scott enjoyed a friendship with the players, despite the identity confusion, and received tickets to several Raptors home games.

Today is Seann’s 33rd Birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEANN!!
